After over 5 hours in Sketchup and about 10 hours of doodling I've come up with this little image.
It started as an attempt to build a walking tank/mech in sketchup that I could pose- then I began to use the frame to add detail and stuff in PhotoShop... then I got a bit absorbed and started doing a background.
The little man by the feet has the unfortunate task of re-painting the mech with what appears to be a single can of paint... yeah, good luck mate. You may need super vision to see it clearly though...
Overall i'm quite happy with how it turned out- I prefer my big, hulking mechs rather the manga styled ones (robots with swords? Why??), so i got a bit of inspiration from Mech Assault and Steel Battalion.
