Another pic done in the same vane as the Verkine one- for the portfolio. I have several variations of the character in the gallery so i decided to show the progression from armour wearing fantasy guy, to futuristic stealth guy to casual, weary hero guy.
I also decided against the fire blade for him, rather leaving it for Verkine. I think a fire staff helps to diferentiate them, despite the fact that they're of the same race. It should also make the fights a bit more interesting.
I'd also like to add I'm slowly progressing in my art- I don't think I'm getting that much quicker, but the quality is improving in my opinion. This image was done with no reference and drawn on one layer (except for some of the lighting effects and background stuff! By the way, the Japanese symbol on his back means 'Ruthless' I think (he does start off as an assassin after all!)
I love your art style anyway. This is particularly nice because we get to see the different aspects of the character which I find fascinating. I do like the idea of differentiating the weapons a little more. I can see this on my wall as a cool poster.

Oh yes! I love it! He doesnt look as well-equipped as in previous pictures, the only armour he has is a pair of greaves and wrist-protectors...wich is really cool, makes sort of a "I have my regular clothes and decide to make a difference" kind of look. Only problem is the staff not going the whole way to his right hand. Maybe it's ment to be that way? If its a spell of sorts I won't complain, but if it's a "regular" weapon I see no reason for it to stop so abrubtly. Love it though! Going straight to my favs!

If it isn't strange, it's not art, and if it isn't art, I'm not interested
Thanks there buddy, you'll be pleased to know his weapon is a spell...of sorts. on the upper part of his hand (within the wrist protectors) are small bits of metal that harness elemental energy- Verkine has them too, but his power is far greater than Tysho's. With these, the user can weild their chosen element- but doing so drains them considerably.
Probably should have mentioned that in the write up...
Cheers again dude!
