I'm making a game! Well, trying to!

Hello people of Deviantland, it is I- some guy! Tysho! I barely write these journals anymore- mainly because I'm lazy and forgetful- but it's also due to the last couple of years being truly awful. And let's be honest, entry after entry of me whining about stuff is enough to make anybody switch off. Hell, your computer might blue screen. Thing's aren't particularly terrific at the minute- I've got a large debt hanging over my head, I'm living somewhere I really don't like and I'm working 2 not particularly great part time jobs BUT moving away from the negative shizz for a second- I do have my fantastic girlfriend, I have my artwork and there's a new season of South Park starting so it's not all doom and gloom.
Anyway, I've gone a bit off topic- basically, I'm starting anew. Tysho Plus if you will. And so I've given it some thought and had some persuasion from friends and I'm going ahead with creating my own adventure game of the point and click variety in the mould of the Monkey Island series (which I love dearly). I'm using Adventure Game Studio which I never even knew existed until a few weeks ago and I really wish I'd stumbled upon it sooner. Things are still up in the air at the moment- all I have are a vague story, some characters and a few backgrounds which can be seen on my DA page, so I'm treating this initial step as a demo of sorts.I'll be keeping a blog of my progress over here but I'll continue putting any artwork here too. I don't intend for this to get me fame and fortune- AGS is built mostly for nostalgia purposes but there have been many quality games released using the program. Check out Primordia on Steam - it's ace! And a massive inspiration to me.
Bit I digest, it's going to be a LOT of work- and I haven't animated anything for about 18 years- and even then that was super basic stuff so there's going to be plenty of challenges. Particularly the scripting and coding parts... yeeeaah. Anywho, thanks for reading this chest high wall of text and be sure to check out Heck! It'll be err... devilishly... good.
